some suggestions-
1. eat till you can not eat any more
2. take a nap (preferably several)
3. make photographs! -use this time to really be creative! explore and create!
4. think of titles for your work- again i am going to ask you all to have titles- it is important to take ownership of your work!
5. re-read the articles- and choose perhaps one or two that directly relate to your project, it is important in the next crit to reference these, and talk about how your work deals with the issues of authorship, originality, the readymade, combine, and how your work is in dialogue with the work made in the past.
6. write me a quick paragraph about your project- this will not only let me get an idea of where you are headed, but will help you articulate your goals and motivation for the project-

issues surrounding the project
what it will look like

Jessica Stoun. My final project, “Degrees of Authenticity”, questions the idea of what is “less real” or “more real” by comparing unidentified images in pairs that share indirect qualities. The viewer is tricked into the convention of immediately judging the comparable photographs instead of questioning the authenticity of the photograph itself, which is merely a re-shot image of a digitally printed photograph, the readymade in the sense of its being pre-prepared and not having conceptually important content.
